What, No Script? improv night

October, 2026

Friday, 16 October

Brought to you by the CKB Kaleidoscope Festival, an interactive evening full of laughs and fun. It’s your chance to either build on your skills or give it a go with no pressure or script to remember. Or just come and be part of the audience, and watch theatre without a safety net!

5:30 - Players session
7:00 - Performance

5.30pm – 6.30pm
Participants only session. No audience. 15+ recommended.
Ever watched Whose Line Is It Anyway? or Thank God You’re Here and thought, “That looks like fun”? Here’s your chance to give it a go in a no audience, no pressure space. Or build on skills you already have. Play games, build scenes, wrestle with imaginary objects and laugh harder than a kookaburra watching someone fall over. Perfect for beginners wanting to try something new or experienced performers keen to brush up their skills.
After taking part in this session, you can stay for the following session as performer or audience.

7pm – 8pm
Tickets $15.
Suggested audience 15+
Is there a script? Hell, no!
Watch the Players perform, compete and contort their way through completely scriptless games, scenes and stories. Come solely as a spectator or jump into the fun and help shape the hilarity. No scripts. No safety net. No idea what will happen next. Just heaps of fun.
